What is dry needling?

Dry needling is one of our favorite treatment options that we use in conjuction with additional chiropractic and rehab therapies. Dry needling has arguably one of the best researched outcomes in treating myofascial trigger points. Dry needling utilizies a thin microfilament needle which is inserted into the muscle causing the pain or referral pattern. Often the patient feels a quick muscle twitch. This leads to pain relief and helps the muscle relax.
